How to export the map picture from OCAD to CF.

To get a map to display correctly in a Catching Features game, it's important to split the map into chunks. Each chunk can be no larger than 512x512 pixels (otherwise, some users will not be able to seem the map.)

The old tip on the subject has been removed. Instead use chrism's excellent utility program, which can be downloaded from this page. It will help you to automatically split a map file into chunks!

A good rule of thumb when you export the graphics file from OCAD is to use 300 dpi as the resolution for a 1:10000 map (150 dpi for 1:5000, 450 dpi for 1:15000). However, sometimes you'll need to increase this quality. Make sure to experiment to find the ideal resolution for your own maps.
